Meridian Township Fire Department Welcomes New Paramedic/Firefighter

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On Tuesday December 3rd at 10 am, there was a special ceremony to honor a new paramedic/firefighter.

The Meridian Township Fire Department hired Tyler McNally from Dewitt Fire Department to join their fleet.

Fire Chief Mike Hamel was pleased with their decision and was happy to welcome Tyler to our community

"You know a local guy and Tyler kind of is the mold of what we're looking for, for a firefighter that we want to finish his career here of the 25+years and just do an outstanding job to protect the community," Chief Hamel said.

Tyler was sworn in that day by Township Clerk Brett Dreyfus.

The ceremony concluded with cake and refreshments celebrating Tyler as he begins serving his new community.
