Friends of Historic Meridian Recognizes Jane Rose

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On September 18th, members of the Friends of Historic Meridian organized a picnic and a farewell party for recently retired Meridian Historical Village Executive Director Jane Rose.

After the picnic, members gathered for a speech to reminisce everything Rose has done for the Historical Village and Meridian Township.

Rose was a part of the Historical Village for 17 years and has shared many of her talents in photography, storytelling and cooking. She has helped beautify many monuments in the Historical Village and has contributed towards many publications such as newsletters, press releases and brochures. She has also networked with many organizations such as the Meridian Garden Club and has established relationships with historical groups.

Rose has inspired many members and has encouraged individuals to share their knowledge to expand the Meridian Historical Village through storytelling and history lessons for many of the Township's school districts.

Patrick Reynolds, who will be taking over Rose's role as Executive Director, shares her passion for history, innovation and attention to detail. Reynolds was welcomed at the end of the speech as the newest addition to the Meridian Historical Village.
