Meridian Township Investigate Armed Robbery

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On August 23rd at approximately 7:55 pm, Meridian Township Police Officers responded to the T-Mobile Cellular store located at 2189 W Grand River Avenue on a report of an armed robbery.

Two males entered the business, threatened an employee with handguns and left with an undisclosed amount of property and cash. The males were reported to have fled in a vehicle that was occupied by two additional males.

The vehicle and suspects were located near the intersection of Jolly Road and Okemos Road. Three adult males and one juvenile male were taken into custody.

The stolen property, stolen cash, firearms and related evidence was recovered from the vehicle.

Meridian Township Police were assisted by Michigan State Police, Ingham County Sheriff’s Office, East Lansing Police, Michigan State University Police and Lansing Police.

The three adults were arraigned on August 24th on charges stemming from this investigation.

Wardell Anthony-Letrell Henry, Colby Oneal-Jordan Black, and Marcell Dequan Anderson, all from Lansing, were arraigned and charged with Armed Robbery, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and
Felony Firearm.

A juvenile male, also in custody related to this investigation, was remanded to the Ingham County Youth Detention Center.
