ORIGINAL STORY:
OKEMOS - This summer, kids ages 9-13 can learn how to operate television equipment and even get a chance to be in front of the camera during HOMTV’s Summer Media Camp for Kids.
The 2-Day Camp will run Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, June 20 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The $50 fee includes lunch as well as a t-shirt. Campers will learn how to run a studio camera, audio board, teleprompter, graphics system and even be a TV studio host.
“We are very excited to offer a kids camp this summer! This is not only a great opportunity to connect with the younger generations and encourage them to pursue careers in the media industry, but also a way to expand the services HOMTV offers to the community,” said Brandie Yates, HOMTV Executive Producer.
A showcase event for parents and sponsors will be held to allow students to show what they worked on during camp.
