MasterWorks 3: Schubert Symphony No. 9
Lansing Symphony Orchestra
Known as The Great, Schubert's Symphony No. 9, is an homage to Beethoven but its lyricism and "heavenly length" stretch well beyond Classical norms. Today's most well-recorded classical harpist, Yolanda Kondonassis, will give a unique and electrifying performance of Grammy Award winner Jennifer Higdon's Concert for Harp and Orchestra. Semiramide Overture by Rossini Concerto for Harp and Orchestra by Higdon Symphony No. 9 "The Great" by Schubert Tickets: $20 - $55 Student pricing available

On Thursday, January 24 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, HOMTV will host its annual Golden Tape Awards Ceremony and Intern Appreciation Event at Studio C! to celebrate the commitment and hard work of the 2017 - 2018 HOMTV Interns. Over the years, HOMTV’s Internship Program has been recognized as an established and exemplary hands-on training program to retain and foster talent. For the first time, HOMTV is inviting the community to show their support and celebrate the interns as they showcase their work. Attendees will receive star treatment by walking the red carpet to an “Academy Awards” style ceremony hosted by Wharton Center’s Bob Hoffman as Master of Ceremonies. Guests will enjoy entertainment, hors d’oeuvres and media professional guest speakers. Each year, HOMTV Interns continue to be a valuable asset to the Meridian Township community, volunteering around 14,000 hours as production crew and on-air talent for nearly 90 official Township meetings and over 600 HOMTV programs, as well as producing more than 1,000 stories and PSA’s. Those interested in attending or becoming a sponsor of the ceremony, please contact HOMTV Executive Producer Brandie Yates at
