MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Tuesday night's Township Board Joint Meeting was the first official meeting for the Board's newest Trustee.
Park Commissioner Courtney Wisinski was selected by the Township Board to fill in the seat left vacant by Phil Deschaine, who in turn was selected as the Township's new Treasurer, after former Treasurer Julie Brixie resigned following her election to the state legislature in November.
New Trustee Wisinski was present for last week's Township Board meeting following her selection, but was not sworn in until Monday, January 14.
While Trustee Wisinski didn't get a chance to participate in any discussions, she did get a chance to, along with her fellow board members, hear reports of various Township Boards and Commissions.
Supervisor Ronald Styka welcomed Trustee Wisinski to the Board, saying that it seemed "like forever already" since her swearing-in.
During her swearing-in ceremony, Trustee Wisinski said she was "really excited to work to make sure Meridian Township is as safe and healthy as possible."
The next Township Board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 22 at 7PM.
