LANSING - The Tri-County TRIAD hosted their 18th Annual Senior Without Christmas yesterday.

The Tri-County TRIAD of Ingham, Eaton and Clinton counties delivered care packages to elderly who would otherwise go without this holiday season.

Each year TRIAD fills 350 boxes with household supplies, non-perishable food and other holiday items, these boxes are then delivered to needy, older adults living in the tai-county region of Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties.

Each year TRIAD raises about $25,000 to ensure that each box is filled with meaningful and useful, each box cost about $72 to make.

Over the course of a several days, volunteer shoppers pick up small donations. LFD escorted several volunteers to pick up large donated items in Clinton and Ingham Counties then shopped for additional products you see here today,

Each box is delivered by a uniformed law enforcement officer or fire personnel.
