MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The search for a new Township Board Trustee is on after Phil Deschaine has filled the Treasurer position.

At the December 3rd Township Board meeting, the Board voted 6-1 to adopt the process of the search with Trustees Patricia Jackson and Dan Opsommer sitting on the application review committee.

Applications will open tomorrow and the deadline is Tuesday, December 19th.

Candidates will be interviewed at a public meeting.

The selection process will begin on Thursday, December 27th.

The decision of who the new trustee is will be decided on before the January 8th meeting.
