MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - On October 27th, Meridian Township held its annual Halloween Adventures.
The Police Department, HOMTV Studios, Meridian Historical Village and the Meridian Farmers' Market hosted families throughout the day.
The tours through the police station and HOMTV gave a behind the scenes look at those Township departments.
At the market, farmers brought a bountiful autumn harvest and food trucks were there for those looking for more than doughnuts and cider.
Harris Nature Center also participates in the Halloween Adventures.
They featured hayrides through the colorful woods, pumpkin piñata, marshmallow roasting, and other fun and games.
Exuberant kids quickly gathered for the fan favorite, pumpkin piñata, where contestants get to take turns thwacking a candy filled pumpkin with a baseball bat.
Smiles persisted despite the wet and cool fall weather and the parking lots were full, two signs this Halloween Adventure was a successful one.
