MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, - Solar panels have been installed outside the Meridian Township building.
This project started back in April and cost the Township about $45,000.
These solar panels are considered to be "ground mounts" which is more expensive than the traditional roof mounts. This can be due to the additional material costs that come with ground mounts. Although, they are considered much more efficient.
Fifty six panels have been installed with a power of 20kW array.
These solar panels can be seen upon a hill on the corner of Marsh Rd & Central Park Dr.
