UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Later this year, Okemos Road, from Jolly to Clinton, will be enhanced with street lighting, decorative sidewalks, plantings, and furniture, as part of the proposed construction for the township. Other plans include closing off the intersection at Park Lake and Burcham sometime this summer to be made into a roundabout for traffic easement. Additionally, from the intersection with Park Lake to the Railroad Crossing, Haslett Road will be resurfaced. Finally, the Van Atta Road Bridge, over the Red Cedar River, will be replaced sometime next year.
The Ingham County Road Commission, in Mason, MI, will hold a public hearing on March 5, 2012 at 6:30 pm to discuss any of these proposed construction plans for the next two years. Residents are encouraged to attend the event to ask questions or give comments. If you are unable to attend the public meeting, you can call 1-800-968-9733 with questions.
