MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on Wednesday, March 28, the Board approved four variances that were presented before them.
One variance included, two homeowners who came back to the board on Wednesday, when at first their request was denied to add onto their house 3-2. The homeowners want to construct a 235 square foot addition with the closest point being one foot from the rear property line.
Craig Newman, President of the Bear Lake Homeowners Association spoke on the homeowners behalf.
Newman said, "Our board unanimously supports the Comparoni's request to utilize common property to extend their addition onto our land."
The homeowners presented more pictures and information this time which allowed the Zoning Board of Appeals to unanimously vote to approve the variance.
Another resident came to the board asking to construct a 400 square-foot garage with the closest point being 94.7 feet rom the centerline right of way. The Board also unanimously voted yes to this resident building the garage.
