MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Tree trimming crews are active in Meridian Township this week. Jolly Road was closed between Dobie and Meridian while crews removed trees near the shoulders.
The tree removal is an introductory phase of the Jolly Road Resurfacing project that has been planned by the Ingham County Road Department.
The project will recycle asphalt from the previous road surface to re-lay the road and add four foot shoulders and the appropriate grading. The resurfacing will coincide with the Okemos Road at Jolly Road Intersection Improvement Project. The projects will last through March and into April.
Detour routes have been planned by the Road Department, those routes and more information about the project can be found on their website.
