OKEMOS - HOMTV will debut a new sports program series featuring the Okemos High School (OHS) Athletic Department, giving the community an in-depth look at OHS Athletics.
"Inside Okemos Athletics" will include weekly interviews profiling OHS student-athletes and coaches. OHS Athletic Director Ira Childress will guest host the program with commentary by HOMTV host Deborah Guthrie.
"We are excited about the new show and about partnering with HOMTV, the number one news source in Meridian Township. We believe it's going to be a great opportunity to highlight our student-athletes, coaches and teams," said Childress.
The first episode will air LIVE on HOMTV’s Facebook page on Wednesday, January 17th at 2:30 pm and will focus on the Okemos Girls Basketball team, guests include Coach Kristen Rasmussen, and student athletes Laya Hartman and Jasmine Clerkley.
“I was honored that Ira asked to work with us on this program, especially with so many of our interns striving for a career in sports broadcasting. We have a strong relationship with the Okemos Athletic Department, I look forward to expanding our program offerings on HOMTV and providing our sports interns more experience,” said Guthrie.
This program is just one of many new programs joining the HOMTV program line-up in 2018.
