MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Department received a grant from the Capital Region Community Foundation for a mobile tool trailer. A mobile tool trailer is exactly what it sounds like, a trailer enclosed with many tools to help maintain parks and land preserves in the township.
Parks Naturalist Kelsey Dillon gives all the details on what to expect and the impact this trailer will bring to the parks in the community. Dillon says the new trailer will increase volunteering engagement and also increase the efficiency since it can be left at the sites for multiple day projects or weekend projects. "Overall it's going to be a really great asset to Meridian Townships volunteer efforts," says Dillon
With 49 parks and land preserves in the Township maintaining parks can be a difficult task. This trailer will now give volunteers the availability to have these tools at hand which saves time and money.
Meridian Township Parks and Recreation takes pride in all the volunteers that help keep the parks looking beautiful. They are very excited to make volunteering a breeze with the new mobile tool trailer. More details and information can be found on the Meridian Township Parks and Recreation Facebook.
