INGHAM COUNTY - Roxann Wilkinson is a volunteer at Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter and has been a foster caretaker for more than 100 shelter dogs.

Beginning as a single day volunteer and growing to currently volunteering at the shelter three days a week, Roxann aids in the shelter's data entry, uploading their PetFinder site, animal training and many other tasks.

As a foster to 143 dogs, Roxann has cared for a variety of dogs ranging from adult "problem dogs" to abandoned liters of puppies.

"The part that's most rewarding for me is when I take an animal home that need rehabing and we find it a home" says Roxann who has kept numerous photos of her fosters and even still keeps in touch with some of the adopted parents.
