EAST LANSING - What started with music, and followed by cheers throughout, the stronger together rally with Senator Bernie sanders untied the Lansing community Thursday afternoon.
Michigan State University freshmen, Copper Rhoades said, "It was just such a great way to come here, and rally around a common objective, and just bond fighting for a great candidate and putting her in office."
Bernie Sanders has endorsed Hilary Clinton within her campaign. He spoke on behalf of standing with her, and diversity throughout the nation. "We should be proud as a nation of our diversity, that’s how we are strong; and I will not stand by and allow Trump to attack our Latino brothers and sisters, our Muslin brothers and sisters" chanted Sanders as the crowd cheered in agreement with him.
Along with Bernie Sanders, Supreme Court Justice Candidate Deborah Thomas spoke on issues that she feels have been ignored for far too long " We need more Drug Treatment courts, mental health treatment courts, Veterans Treatment courts, and the one thing we don't have in Michigan that we need desperately is Human Trafficking courts"
Taking away a valuable lesson, Michigan State freshmen Skylar St.Croix said, "Make sure you know people policies, and know what's everything going on, and get out there and vote because that’s what’s going to make the big difference."
Coming together to support, unite and inform, is what will create that difference.
