MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - For the interns at HOMTV, Election Night is full of preparation, hard work and excited energy. “I think tonight will be good experience…I’m excited to see how it’s going to turn out,” said Studio Production Intern Amber McDonald.

During Election Night, Interns are assigned to various positions within their track from field reporting to live tweeting.

One of the various positions assigned on Election Night is floor directing, both in-studio and at the results hub. From Skype calls, in-studio interviews and incoming results, floor directors have to be on their toes at all times.

“I’m honored to be a floor director,” said Creative Production Intern Ray Childs, “It’s what I’ve wanted to do since I started here and something that I want to do for the rest of my life.”

It’s obvious that Election Night is a big deal for all the new interns, one that will be full of teamwork, new experiences and lots of fun.
