LANSING - The Lansing Lugnuts (34-32) won the five-game series - which included two makeup games -, 3-2, against the Great Lakes Loons.

Wednesday, the last game of the series, ended with one victory for each team, but Lansing came out victorious in the end, winning three of the five games.

Lansing pitcher Ryan Borucki had a career high in the first game, striking out nine Great Lakes Loons in six innings.

Borucki allowed only one Great Lakes run in the first inning, the Loons' only run of the game.

The Lugnuts, who came back from an, 11-4, loss to the Loons the previous night, came out strong and scored six runs in the first inning.

Three of the six runs came from a three-run hit to the right field by J.C. Cardenas.

The next three innings went scoreless.

Adding to their already decently large lead, the Lugnuts got one run in the fifth and another in the sixth inning.

Cardenas walked home in one of those in a bases-loaded play.

Connor Panas added two more on the scoreboard for the Lugnuts.

Lansing takes the victory in game four, 10-1.

Game two proved to be tougher for both teams, but especially for the Lugnuts.

With a, 6-0, lead at the bottom of the seventh, the Loons worked to have their first no-hitter in the history of the Great Lakes Loons.

The Lugnuts forced three runs on the Loons, cutting their lead in half.

Not enough to win, the Loons won game five, 6-3.

The Lugnuts' next series is a four-gamer against West Michigan, starting 7:05 p.m. on Thursday.
