MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - With school closed and summer here, places like the Harris Nature Center are ready for fun.

They open their summer day camps to kids in the Lansing area on June 21.

Kit Rich, Harris Nature Center Coordinator, said they have both indoor and outdoor activities that will help kids engage with the world around them.

"It's always my hope that kids are going to find something about nature that they really, really love, and that will make them want to keep coming out to the parks and keep exploring," Rich said.

Camps are available for children of all ages up to the eighth grade, Tuesday through Friday during the day.
