MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Summertime is a popular time for hitting the water, but it can also be a dangerous for boaters.
Ingham County Sergeant Dan Sump states, "If you decide to get off the boat and take a dip, never swim alone and always use a life jacket.”
Sump also mentions that you should wear sunscreen and drinking plenty of water when you are out in the sun. “It is important to stay hydrated in the heat and to protect your body from the elements.
