MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Now that summer has officially arrived, it is time to take caution and protect your skin. Skin protection is now an essential part to helping prevent both sunburn and possibly even skin cancer.
Pediatrician and local resident Courtney Hart said, "the best is to probably stay out of the peak of the day, so try to stay out of the sun between 10 and 2, and then wear sunscreen regularly. Most people do know you're suppose to put it on before you actually go outside."
If you are in the sun make sure you are covered up, and have on sunblock.
Wearing sunscreen with a high SPF, covering up your body while out side for long periods of time, and wearing sunglasses are all ways to help prevent sunburn.
