MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Township Board recently discussed the construction of The Square on East Grand River Avenue.

Campus Community Village had requested Brownfield Funding for the cleaning up of environmental contamination and widespread fill and debris at 2655 E Grand River Avenue in East Lansing.

Back in January, the Township Board held a hearing in order to discuss the Brownfield request. However, Ingham County started a Brownfield Development Authority in September of 2001.

The requested funds were in the amount of $2,068,500 over the next nine years. The Township Board did not pass the motion on Tuesday night.
