HASLETT - Haslett Girl’s Varsity Soccer matched-up against Waverly on Tuesday night at Haslett High School. The Vikings wasted no time getting on the board jumping out to an early lead.
With just under 28-minutes to go in the second half, Forward Karlie Walraven scores her second goal of the season to bring the score 6-0. A couple of possessions later and she kicks it right back in the same spot to get back-to-back goals pushing the lead 7-0, they need one more for the mercy.
The Viking’s Anna Sharkey weaves through players and takes it all the way to the net to sweep the Rams 8-0 with 26 minutes left on the clock. They take a victory lap to soak it all in.
The Vikings take on Lansing Christian this Thursday, a match-up of two teams that rarely face each other.
“I think we really worked as a team, we connected our passes and overall we really wanted to come away with the win so I think we all worked together and finished off strong,” says Junior Forward Karlie Walraven.
