MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Love a Park Day is a Township-wide clean-up and park enhancement day.

Many residents of the township come to their favorite local parks and do whatever work needs to be done.

The Harris Nature Center had several large projects taking place.

"We put mulch around a lot of different features of the nature exploration area, cleaned the gardens and the pond," Harris Nature Center Coordinator Kit Rich said.

Rich said the attitude of loving and aspiring to take care of our parks and natural areas is important.

"Loving our parks and natural areas is a 365 day thing," Rich said.
