• The Meridian end of Powell Road will be paved.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Powell Road lies east of Okemos and runs north off of Meridian Road. It already has one subdivision at its north end and another almost reaches it from the west. A third is being considered to be constructed at its south end.

Mayberry Homes would be a development of over 20 homes, complete with a private stretch of sewer. As a part of the construction, the southern stretch of Powell Road - currently dirt - is to be paved.

The Mayberry Homes representative who spoke to the Planning Commission report that with everything required to be put into the cost of construction, the homes will have be high-end at a cost of around $500,00 per house. He was, however, interested in suggestions from the Township towards lowering costs.
