MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Nokomis was given a $500 grant by MSFCU to help recreate a Bald Eagles Nest from a Pine Tree found in Bath, MI.

Victoria Voges, Educational Leader of Nokomis, said the original nest was four and a half feet wide and two feet deep.

"The funding that we asked for is to help us really do the full display of the nest," said Voges.

The project to rebuild the nest will start at the beginning of April and Voges said she hopes to be done by May for the people of the community to be able to come see the nest.

Voges said they will also have a interactive learning station by the nest, and a plaque with the names of donors will be displayed next to the display to express how thankful they are.
