Game

OKEMOS - Three days after blowing a 13-point second half lead against Haslett, the Holt Rams and senior Kamrin Reed made a point of pushing pedal to the medal Friday night in Okemos.

Up 10 points headed into the fourth quarter, Holt learned its lesson outscoring the Chiefs, 23-6 in the final eight minutes.

"It's not about winning or losing," Reed said after the game. "It is about playing our best, and the Haslett game was one of the best game we played all this seaspn."

“We came into this game ready to play the same way we did against Haslett because that is truly the best we’ve played.”

Michigan head coach Kim Barnes Arico was in attendance to witness the greatness of Okemos freshman Laya Hartman. Before Hartman ever played a minute for the Chiefs, she was offered a scholarship from Michigan State head coach Suzy Merchant. Now a superstar freshman, Hartman receives nationwide attention for her future collegiate services.
