HASLETT - Detroit Country Day sophomore Kaela Webb's 20-point performance in last year's Class B state title game against Haslett ensured a, 49-41, championship win in 2015. Tuesday night it was Webb's that stole the show, creating turnovers all over the court, en route to a, 69-56, rematch runaway over the Vikings.
Early turnovers, combined with missing shots, caused Haslett to score a measly four points in the first quarter. Webb came away with two steals in the quarter and completed a fast-break deuce off a steal and up-court assist from fellow DCD guard Destiny Pitts.
Pitts led the team in scoring this time around with 20.
Haslett senior Megan Mowid was right with Pitts scoring 20 herself to lead the Vikings in points.
