MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - With site plans reviewed and approved at 3698 Okemos Road, the project for an 8 unit condo building will be under way in the spring.

The property, near the corner of Okemos and Fox Hollow, used to be a rural residential zone which has since been rezoned to multiple family.

Peter Menser, Associate Planner for Meridian Township, was part of the review team for the site approval, and says the construction of the foundation process will most likely begin in April of 2015.

An old home was on the property which was demolished in 2013. In 2014, the property was rezoned.

"I wouldn't be surprised, especially if the weather keeps up, if we see some foundation work soon. They'll start digging up the basements and start putting in some foundations," said Menser.

Site prep work will begin in the spring once the building permit process is complete.
