OKEMOS - The Okemos girls basketball team had a tough time competing last season, finishing 2-14. Freshmen Laya Hartman and Bergin Robinson gave the Lady Chiefs a new identity Friday night in a, 50-6, annihilation of Lansing Eastern.
At 5-foot-11, Hartman is can handle the ball like a guard and is not afraid to attack the post.
Robinson was money from deep as the two freshmen played a little in-and-out basketball on offense that Eastern did nothing to stop.
This victory marks the Chiefs' first win of their young season.
