HASLETT - In an effort to grow professionally, teachers in Haslett participated in Learning Walk Week.
Haslett Public School's held this week of learning to allow teachers to learn from one another, share experiences and better the learning environment for Haslett Students.
Teachers from Haslett Middle School and Haslett High School walked to each others class rooms to share teaching techniques, offer feedback and exchange words of encouragement.
Haslett High School English teacher Stephanie Livingston said it's important have events like this to help build a support system among teachers.
"I just think it's a really positive thing for teachers to learn from each other and feel validated by their peers for what they do," Livingston said. "I think Haslett Public Schools is a really great place to teach and learn and it's really wonderful to see that in all of it's different facets."
Local businesses also participated by donating $5 gift cards as prizes for teachers who participated in the week of learning.
