MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - At the recent Township Board meeting, the Board members discussed yet another drain, the Smith drain.

This action item on Tuesday night's agenda included discussions about potential issues, problems and costs.

Trustee Ronald Styka says that drains are a big discussion item but if the Township doesn't do this right, it will cause the Township to flood and gather up unnecessary sewage in the water.

The potential costs are 2 to 3 million dollars and the vote passed unanimously 7 to 0.
