HASLETT - Eight teams gathered for the 2015 Capital Area Activities Conference (CAAC) Girls Blue Division Championships.

St. Johns High School finished first with a total score of 377 points.

Jackson High School was second with 321 points.

And it was Okemos edging Grand Ledge for third with a score of 320.

Okemos was first in six events - 200 Yard Individual Medley , 50 Yard Freestyle, 100 Yard Butterfly, 100 Yard Freestyle, 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, and 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.

Sarah Williams finished first in the 100 Yard Freestyle setting a Pool Record of 54.20.

Freyja Garbaccio set a Pool Record in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 57.57 and the 200 Yard Individual Medley in 2:10.07.

Okemos' Head Coach, Patrick Saucedo, states, "We were a pretty small team this year. We went into the meet knowing that we did not have enough fire power to hang at the top so we just said we are going to go in and just swim fast and have fun."

" I am proud of my girls and their hard work," added Saucedo.
