OKEMOS - Haslett volleyball faced Lansing Waverly last Wednesday, and was looking for a big win. The Vikings expected to beat Waverly in three games, and they did just that.
The Vikings handled Waverly relatively easy in the first two matches, but not so much in the third.
Waverly came back and made the match very close, tying it at 24, but Haseltt was able to close them out with a 25-23 win.
"We were expecting to win in three, so at the end kinda when we came close, I was a little bit worried and telling these girls you know there's an urgency to win in three, we don't want to go to four games with this team," said Haslett coach Drew Dudley.
