LANSING - Holt Jr. High played host to tonight's MHSAA playoff matchup between Lansing Catholic and Ovid-Elsie. LC started the game off fast, scoring one touchdown in the opening minute, and another shortly before the end of the first. Ovid-Elsie, found some momentum right before the half to bring the score to 14-13 but that would be the last time they got on the board.
As per tradition for this years Lansing Catholic squad, the pair of Tonys made all the difference. Poljan, had well over 300 yards through the air and ground, while Palmer had over 100 return yards, and managed to score a rushing touchdown and catch one too in their route of the Marauders.
All eyes will be on Portland next week ( who is coming off a blowout win over Stockbridge ) as the boys from Lansing look to avenge a regular season loss against Portland. Final score, 42-13 Lansing Catholic.
