LANSING - On October 21st, the local fashion incubator, The Runway held its oneyear anniversary.
Representatives from Lansing Economic Area Partnership, Lansing Community College, City of Lansing, community members, and the media were invited to attend the event.
The evening started off with a ribbon cutting to unveil its new partners and new programming that helps propel The Runway into the next phase of fashion design.
"By being able to kind of pull them all into one space, that we can actually harness that kind of creative economy grow, it's a talent, attraction and retention tool," said Quin D. Stinchfield, business incubation manager of The Runway.
The Runway's focus is to provide local designers with all the resources and guidance they need in order to successfully create or enhance their brand.
These resources include industry expertise, business and marketing plan development, collaborative work space featuring state of the art equipment, individual office space and access to the retail showroom.
