Playoffs

WILLIAMSTON - Haslett came into Williamston with a 4-3 record, needing two more wins to qualify for the playoffs. With only two more games remaining, that meant a win against Williamston was crucial.

Haslett quarterback Jake Taheny was a part of all three first quarter touchdowns. He ran for one, threw for one, and also had a bad lateral pass that Williamston scooped up for a touchdown.

It was 14-7 Haslett in the second quarter when running back Mykal Stinson got the edge and ran his way into the endzone for the score, putting Haslett up 21-7.

Haslett tried to add onto that lead just before the end of the first half, but Williamston special teams came up with a block on a Haslett field goal attempt, keeping the score at 21-7 going into halftime.

The only touchdown in the second half came from the Haslett running back Stinson who bulldozed his way in for the score, his second of the day, and that made the score 28-7 where it would stay for the remainder of the game.

Haslett now travels to Walled Lake Central in search of their sixth win, which would qualify them for the playoffs.
