MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP- - The crisp, cool air has finally approached and the leaves have suddenly began to change colors. Not only that, but now is the time we can start bundling up with our warm jackets and scarves, sit around a toasty bonfire, and enjoy a delicious smore or two.
Ahh don't you just love the season of Fall? I sure do...so I decided to investigate and see what residents like to do during this time of year in and around Meridian Township.
"I always enjoy walking in this area, it's especially nice in the Fall of course because of the colors in the trees here and also the sound of the leaves rustling as you're going through them...and there's no more mosquitoes," Meridian Township resident Al Swartz stated.
Local resident Bianca Devito had a similar opinion.
"I like to go for walks and spend my time outside...it's like the perfect temperature, it's not too hot...I just think it's really pretty I don't know, like all the leaves and all the colors and like just the way it looks."
Of course a trip to an apple orchard is on everybody's checklist as well.
"We're actually going apple picking next weekend so I really enjoy that, it's really fun and we're going to do it as a family. It's nice to kind of just get out with the family, no technology, just do family things," mentioned Jordan Bradley.
"I just always go to the cider mill every Fall, it's nice and something to do and just get out and enjoy yourself," local resident Joey Senechal said.
And you cannot forget about picking out the perfect Halloween pumpkin.
"Apple picking and going to a pumpkin patch and hayrides those are all such great Fall activities. Just being outside and having all the leaves be different colors, it's just so pretty being outside," Angie Bazzano stated.
The outdoors is apparently where it's at here in Meridian Township during this time of year.
So whenever you have some time on your hands... take a few minutes and embrace the beautiful outdoor scenery because you will most definitely "Fall" in love with Meridian Township.
