OKEMOS - Okemos volleyball hosted the Lansing Sexton Big Reds at home on Tuesday. Okemo has two D1 commits on the team which made it hard for the Big Reds to stay in this game. Daria Richards is headed to Baylor and Rachel Thomas is committed to Tennessee Tech.

Both girls are 6 foot 2 inches and when they are up on the net together, outside and middle, its tough to get a ball over their block. Okemos won game one 25 to 3, and game two 25 to 10. They won it all in game three.

After all three matches, Okemos had 22 aces against Lansing Sexton.

"We try to set mini goals throughout the match, like scoring every time we serve or working on communication, it keeps the girls focused on specific skills instead of just going through the motions," said Okemos Assistant Coach Allison Cironi.
