MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - For 10 year old Will Goodale, life has been quite the journey.
Not only does Will have a smile that can light up any room, but he embraces each day with a fun-loving spirit and a grin from ear to ear.
You might imagine that Will lives his life like every average 10 year old...unfortunately, that's not the case.
Will was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June 2015.
Since then, he has undergone several medical treatments which continue to add up.
Now, the community is coming together to raise funds for his family.
One of the fundraisers held took place at Culver's in Okemos on Monday, October 5th.
"Anybody that comes in and dines, we're donating 20% of their sale to his family for his treatment," Owner & Operator of Culver's in Okemos Cory Chvala said.
The fundraiser brought in around $750 in proceeds to donate to Will's family, Chvala mentioned.
"It was so wonderful to see the community come out in support of the Goodale family at Culver's last evening. The Meridian Township Public Safety made an awesome appearance as well. We all join together to support Will and his battle. Where There's a Will, There's a Way," friend of the Goodale's Cheri Riemer stated.
There is also a fundraiser at the Blue Gill Grill on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 5pm-9pm for individuals to attend as well.
And if individuals are interested in donating any proceeds, writing letters, or sending anything to Will in general...you can mail the items to the following address:
