UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The CAP ACT Resolution is still currently being discussed by township board members. The act will allow public and government access broadcast stations, much like HOMtv, to continue to provide information to the surrounding area.
HOMtv, and other similar stations rely on franchise fees to keep running, receiving no federal or state funding. Many areas have changed state laws causing stations like HOMTV to be unable to continue their services.
The CAP ACT Resolution hopes to keep stations like HOMtv running by making sure our funding does not get cut or depleted in any way. Keep watching HOMtv during Township Board meetings to hear more on the subject.
