MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - While it may be not seem like much is going on the outside, however inside the new Whole Foods Market will be going through some major activity.
The exterior portion of the building is complete and now they are getting the inside ready for new customers.
Meridian Township Associate Planner Peter Menser, said that within these next two weeks, work such as installation of plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioner, and electric will take place inside.
"The way it's working, a local developer and property owner are building the building and then Whole Foods corporate is going to come along and take possession of the building and start putting up their shelving and all the different stuff thats inside the store and thats going to start in about two weeks," Menser said.
Whole Foods was originally scheduled to open this summer but due to a few delays the store hopes to have it's doors open and ready for business in 2016.
The store will be the company's seventh in Michigan.
