MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Each year the Meridian Township Police Department holds a Citizens Police Academy. The 13th annual Citizens Police Academy ended November 3rd. At the graduation ceremony participants received a certificate and a photo with the Chief.
Mike Froh, a graduate at the 13th session said, "It was actually a phenomenal experience for me and everyone else involved."
Another graduate, Charlene Wagner said, "I'm really glad I made the commitment. It's 9 weeks long."
"If you have a question about why we do the things we do, well maybe this class will answer those questions," said Dave Hall, Meridian Township's Police Chief.
The Citizens Academy is held every fall. A youth Citizens Academy is held earlier in the year. Chief Hall also said that if they get enough applications in, they would hold multiply sessions each year. Applications can be found online on the township website.
