LANSING - Lansing United came into this weekend's game not only seeking sole possession of first place, they were also seeking their first win against Detroit FC who was also tied for first in the Midwest League.
The match was moved from the East Lansing Soccer Complex to DeMartin Soccer Complex to hold over 1000 rabid fans from the Capital City and visiting Detroit.
The first half was as even as they come seeing both teams enter the final 45 all tied up at 1 goal a piece.
United got after it in the second half and matched their season high goal total by knocking in two more unanswered goals to put them up 3-1 at the final whistle.
After the game the Sons of Ransom remained in the stands until all the united players had cleared out.
