OKEMOS - ESPN College Football Game Day came to town for the showdown between the Spartans and the Wisconsin Badgers.
As part of the weekend’s festivities the game day bus made a stop at the Home Depot in Okemos. Fans had a chance to paint signs and enter them into a contest, the winner of the contest received tickets to the game. The event also featured free food and t-shirts. Several vendors set up displays and home depot offered deals to customers inside the store.
"And, of course, we all know who we are rooting for, which should be Michigan State, said Jesse Roberts, Home Depot store manager. “If there are any Wisconsin fans here I haven't seen any, but from what I hear it is going to be a great game.”
The game lived up to expectations with Michigan State winning on a last second throw, when Keith Nichols grabbed the deflection and wiggled into the end zone.
