LANSING - The Lansing Economic Area Partnership (LEAP) held their touRING greater Lansing event on May 21.
The purpose of the event is to tour local business incubators and entrepreneurial areas within the "RING" Lansing's Innovation Network.
Some of the best ideas are those discussed over a cool beverage and Sleepwalker is one of those ideas. In 2008, Matt Jason and Jeremy Sprague met over beers in Lansing's Eastside and decided that the capital city deserved it's own craft beer and whiskey.
Currently doing business in a "to-go" taproom at the Allen Market Place at 1629 East Kalamazoo street, they fill everything from growlers to howlers and even kegs on a special request basis. Ingredients are local, and so are the people. Michigan is already a leader in the craft beer scene and Sleepwalker S&A is part of that grassroots movement.
The tour also visited: NEO Center, The Hatch/Technology Innovation Center, The Hive, and The Runway.
According to LEAP, these emerging companies are working to create high quality jobs and helps make the community vibrant and prosperous.
