INGHAM COUNTY - The Ingham County Health Services Millage passed in the November election leading to an expansion for IHP.
The Ingham Health Plan is offering a dental benefit for Ingham County residents those who don't currently have dental coverage and make under 28 thousand dollars per person per year.
IHP Director Robin Reynolds believes this will benefit more residents than before.
"So that includes people that perhaps have a product off the marketplace but they don't have coverage so they could use it for now. and the other part that i'm happy about is medicare recipients. medicare does not cover dental and so our older adults will have an option for dental as well," said Reynolds.
The Ingham Health Plan has partnered with Delta Dental Plan for this coverage.
The benefit is zero co-pay for any preventatives, and simple fillings, there are smaller co-pays for services like root canals.
