UPDATE:
HASLETT - Homecoming was on the line for Haslett High School when the Chelsea Bulldogs visited to challenge the Vikings.
The Chelsea Bulldogs traveled a long ways to get to Haslett and you could tell they were ready to play. However, the Viking defense made sure to keep the Bulldogs in check as their tough defense forced a three and out on the Bulldog's first possession. After that, Haslett's offense wasted no time in marching 41 yards down the field to take an early 7-0 lead. After another defensive stop the Vikings made it to the redzone again only to have the Bulldogs hold. Joe Varseli nailed a field goal to take a 10-0 lead. Despite adding a couple more touchdowns in the third quarter, the bulldogs wouldn't go away and were about to make a game out of it before number 25 Josh Jackard intercepted it to put the game away. Homecoming wasn't spoiled for the Vikings as Haslett won the game 24-13.
With the win, Haslett will now prepare for playoffs.
