LANSING - Spring has brought a lot of vigor to nature, and... to the dancers at the Children's Ballet Theatre (CBT). CBT will present their spring dance performance for three consecutive days starting this May 1st at the Holt High School.
Alaina Marr, Meghan Pearl, and Aiden Foster-Fishman are among the fifty dancers in the non-profit dance company.
"Everything is run by parent volunteers. We just have an incredible show," Foster-Fishman said.
Alaina Marr is 14-years-old. She started dancing at the age of three and has joined the Children's Ballet Theatre for 5 years. She shared with us her favorite part about her experience.
"You can dance with your best friends. and do your hobby I guess," she said.
10-year-old Meghan Pearl will perform in the "Thriller" dance for the show, which she described as dead people coming out of the ground. She said her favorite parts of the show are the costumes and makeup, and she shared with us the secret of doing the makeup.
"We just sprayed all over our face and then we just mess up our hair and everything," said Pearl.
The dancers have been rehearsing every weekend since late January.
Right now online box for the show is closed, but if you are interested, you can get the tickets at the door.
